The previous year, Lenora served us and Jason was the bar man. Some of the food we enjoyed included starters of a Crab Crepe, Scallops, and Risotto. For our mains we had the Parmesan Crusted Barracuda and the Fillet of Beef. Everything was of the highest standard and made us look forward to going back another time and trying out more from their delicious menu. We had a table by the water and the service was fantastic as well. For a magical evening be sure to visit Champers. An interesting aside: Champers has been featured on an episode of The Millionaire Matchmaker.

LUNCH: In addition to yummy drinks, our lunch consisted of delicious starters of shrimp & avocado, and Caesar salad. Mains were chicken & mushroom fettucini, red snapper, crab crepe, coconut shrimp, and flying fish. Make reservations as it is a popular spot for business people as well as visitors. We really splurged at lunch with drinks and also desserts, so it cost us about $50 US per person, but you can get by for much less than that.
DINNER: We tried a starter of grilled sea scallops with risotto and citrus cream ($18 US); Mains included beef tenderloin with garlic mash, veggies, and a cognac and mushroom sauce ($50 US); jumbo prawns in red Thai curry and coconut sauce with basmati rice and veggies ($33 US), and pepper spiced pork tenderloin with sweet potato mash, grilled veggies and a caramelized apple sauce ($35 US). Everything was delicious, service was fantastic, and the setting was spectacular. These are all prices prior to 2019 and the pandemic. Costs have gone up worldwide, so be prepared for things to cost more.

CHAMPERS
This restaurant continues to maintain it’s high standards for food and service. And the wonderful setting really adds to the enjoyment of a visit. We were fortunate to have Rhonda as our server and we were treated like royalty. The service was outstanding and a warm sense of humor made Rhonda definitely stand out as one of the island’s best.
There were 6 of us for dinner and one of our evenings we some of the foods we enjoyed were Coconut Shrimp, Dolphin, Scallop & Risotto; Atlantic Salmon, Yellow Fin Tuna, Fillet of Beef, Jerk Pork Loin, and several wonderful desserts.
Champers is one of our all-time favorites. One visit after our delicious drinks, for starters we had shrimp & mango salad, mushrooms stuffed with crab, and fish 3 ways (salmon, grouper & tuna) - scrumptious. Then for our mains I had a fabulous 6 oz. filet mignon and 6 oz. lobster tail - both delicious and my husband enjoyed a fantastic Crusted Barracuda. Their excellent chef, Pedro Newton, does a great job on the food. All of this with wine came to $210 US. Please note that although I mention prices, these were from previous trips over several years and current prices will vary.
