BARBADOS TIPS

SEGWAY BARBADOS

Segway is the most unique and eco-friendly tour Barbados has to offer.

Segway will take you across rugged cliff tops, witness breathtaking views of Barbados’ stunning coastlines and pounding Atlantic surf, all while you ride around on your very own Segway PT (off-Road X2) model.

This particular Segway model will captivate you while you ride for over 1 hour and 20 minutes, traversing through mud, grass, sand and even over rocky terrain.

See a unique part of Barbados, inaccessible even by other forms of transportation. Segway will take you across the North eastern coastline with views of the entire rugged East Coast, glide across open fields, stop under a forest of coconut trees for a cool splash of water and engage in the serenity of the great outdoors. You may even get a chance to get up close photos of our indigenous black belly sheep and other grazing animals!

AERIAL TREK ZIPLINE

The Aerial Trek Zipline started in Barbados on September 8, 2007. Aerial Trek is located at Walkes Spring Plantation, Jack-in-the-Box Gully St. Thomas. The Zipline tour is constructed as a course of eight platforms that are built around the canopy of the trees within the gully, and therefore is categorized as a moderate level activity tour. The course is over 1000 feet in length and the highest platform is over 100 feet with the longest Zipline cable running close to 300 feet.

The ultimate experience is the pairing of Zipline technology with the beautiful ecosystem created by our island. Your adventure will begin with a scenic ride to the home base.

Upon arrival at the site, you will be given your safety briefing and outfitted with safety gear that will include your harness system for use on the tour, helmets and gloves. Your tour takes you over eight platforms each manned by our experienced guides who will provide you with information on different areas of the eco-system you are experiencing as well as ensure your safety as you move from platform to platform. You will enjoy beautiful views of our island as well as be informed on the geological formations, which will become apparent.

After your time of fun you will have a short walk back to the base camp where you will enjoy a refreshing drink, and given the opportunity peruse the Tree Top Shop to purchase your branded merchandise.

TOUR TIMES:         Open at 9:00 am, and the last tour leaves the base at 2:00 pm.
