BARBADOS TIPS

We really enjoyed our stay at this luxurious resort.  The staff was excellent and paid great attention to detail.  They knew our names immediately, and saw to our every need.

One part we thoroughly enjoyed was our Afternoon Tea near the pool area.  They had all sorts of teas and coffee available as well as lemonade for someone wanting something cooler.  Then there was a delicious assortment of tea sandwiches such as, Cucumber & Cream Cheese Sandwich on White Bread, Egg & Cress Bridge Roll, Mature Cheddar Cheese & Pickle Sandwich on Whole Meal Loaf, Chicken Curry & Green Onion on Brown Bread, plus delicious scones, and Assortment of Home-Baked Afternoon Tea Pastries.  All of this is included in the cost of your room.

The pool was refreshing and never crowded and the beach was great as well.

Every morning we enjoyed a full English breakfast, and each evening we delighted in some of the best food in Barbados.

The restaurant is situated at the edge of the beach and overlooks the Caribbean Sea ... the perfect setting for cuisine that merits both local and international awards. The award-winning cuisine, 6 times winner of the Barbados Gold Award, is prepared taking full advantage of local produce. Not to be overlooked, is the quality and value of the extensive wine list at The Terrace restaurant.

Executive Chef Brian Porteus is a classically French trained chef who has collected his invaluable international playing experience in - and on - some of the world's most exclusive restaurants, hotels and cruise liners. In his homeland, Ireland, he was head chef and proprietor of Pordylo’s Restaurant in Kilkenny. His cuisine is traditional French at base with British and Asian influences. He then combines these with the best of the good range of ingredients available in Barbados to create a sophisticated continental menu with Caribbean touches.  At Cobblers Cove, they are lucky to have their own fisherman "Barker" and his "catch" is delivered to the restaurant and served that very same day.

Just writing this review makes me long for the day when we can return to this wonderful hotel and be pampered once again.

COBBLERS COVE – Member of the French-based Relais & Chateaux collection of hotels.

The property is home to 40 luxury suites, tastefully designed to suit every guest’s needs. Set amidst three acres, 10 two-story cottages house four suites each; and the Great House features the opulent Camelot and Colleton suites.   Pricing for the 40 luxury suites varies depending upon location, but all suites are identical (except the 2 opulent suites mentioned here).

As we arrived we were greeted with a refreshing cocktail and then we were shown to our suite where we completed our registration.  We had suite 7A.  Some pictures of our room and the grounds are show here:
